The amalgamation to form Connect First Credit Union took place on November 1, 2014. With $4 billion in assets, Connect First Credit Union is the 10th largest credit union in Canada, serving over 100,000 members at 27 retail locations in 15 communities across southern Alberta under the brands of: Chinook Financial and First Calgary Financial.

We think differently about how a credit union can operate; providing local decision making, lasting relationships and investing in communities, are a given. We believe we can also leverage the benefits of size, skill and knowledge, from the creation of Connect First Credit Union to benefit our members and employees.
